BEAUMARCH Apartment
I spent a week in Paris on a business trip. 5 Rue Jean du Bellay was a fantastic place to stay. Amazing beautiful location, very central, and gorgeous apartment. The staff was very professional and a pleasure to deal with.
One complaint I do have which did not really detract from my overall experience is that two ladies showed up on Sunday at 9 am, knocked on the door to ask me what time i'd be checking out. After a late night on Saturday, it wasn't the most pleasant experience having to answer the door so early but it was fine.

My family of four spent a wonderful week at 5 Rue Jean du Bellay. The apartment was very nice and the location was perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to a friend or to stay there again myself.

We stayed at "Belle 5" for one week and it was wonderful. I will never visit Paris again and stay in a hotel. The apartment was great and just the right size for two adults and two children. You will really enjoy staying on Ile St. Louis...which I think is the best location in Paris. There is a great boulangerie close to the apt where you can buy fresh croissants/baguettes for breakfast, a good wine store and grocery store as well. Everything is walking distance. The people who work at Parisaddress were wonderful too...very helpful! We took the taxi company they recommended from the airport to the apt where Eric met us at the apt. It was so effortless. The only negative was the temperature of the shower - it had a habit of going from very hot to lukewarm, but this probably annoyed the kids more than the adults. Overall an exceptional experience - I highly recommend booking through Parisaddress, our experience with them was exceptional...and I'm a pretty discerning traveller - if there was any reason to complain I would. We can't wait to return!!
Merci Parisaddress!

Dear Paris Address,
We stayed at "Bell5" for two wonderful weeks. Each morning we walked across the street to the St Regis and had our café and croissant. We ate three doors down at the Brasserrie en ile st louis and had the most aaaamazing dinner on the terrace. The apartment was - I don't know what do the French say...oh yea, "incredible!" The entire place looks brand new and yet it is 400 years old - so I read! I A great location on the island - and just a 4 minute walk to Notre Dame. We will recommend this apartment to our friends.

This is a very comfortable, well appointed and spacious apartment in a beautiful location. Our family of four stayed nine nights in April and had a wonderful time. I should point out that there is some late night street noise in the 2nd bedroom which could disturb light sleepers. Our greeter, Joel, was very helpful, and a small problem with the apartment key was quickly sorted out. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment.

Like you....we were looking for a great apt in Paris. We searched 15 different sites and looked at alot of apartments - very frustrating! Until we found 5 Jean du Bellay. It is better than the pictures, spacious, clean, great attention to detail, and a real gem. If you are like me you always worry if the picture of what you are renting will be as nice as you imagine - don't worry! The location on the island is wonderful, the apt is large, the street is quiet, and the Seine is at your doorstep. We have decided to pretend that this is our apt and rent it each year! Thank you Paris Address!

5 jean du bellay was a wonderful experience for our family--two adults traveling with an 18-year old. The apartment is the best of all worlds: classic French design with modern conveniences, like the flat screen, washer&dryer (that work!), completely functioning kitchen and bath, plus a giant refrigerator.
we happily visited the MonoPrix and loaded up on baguettes, camembert and rose wine. Our breakfasts were happy and carefree, as we could sleep as long as we needed without missing breakfast, as in a hotel.
The Ile St. Louis area is sublimely perfect and we completely enjoyed the restaurants on the main street, especially the Alsatian brasserie on the corner. We highly recommend the 5Bell apartment and can't wait to return!

The apartment is lovely and a French experience all by itself. I brought a 14 and a 12 year old and they loved coming back to "our island." The location can't be beat, and I would rent this apartment again with pleasure!

Please note that our recommendation under Diane & Richard Maggi in Sept 2010 has an error. We stayed at the apt. during May 2010 (last year) and are staying 6 weeks this time during this Oct/Nov.
Thank you and we're really looking forward to returning to Bell5, Ile Saint Louis.

We recently spent two weeks at Bell5. It was mid-April and the weather turned out to be spectacular - warm days, cool nights and only a few sprinkles. The apartment was great. It was clean and the perfect size and appointments for our visit. The location is incredible. Ile St. Louis is a little microcosm of a french village right in the heart of the best part of Paris. Cafes at your doorstep, bakery, grocery, wine, meats, everything within a short stroll. We ended up eating lunch out most days and then dinners in about half of the time. The restaurants on the island are also very nice. The famous Berthillon ice-cream is good, but we found the perfect gelato place a few blocks away and we thought it was better (we know, sacrilegious). We loved the apartment, location and the trip and we will be back!

If you liked the photos and the location enough to read these reviews, just book it! They're all accurate in describing the ambience and amenity of #5 RJdB. There's 20 lovely looking restaurants within a 150 metre walk (shame we weren't able to try more than about 6), pharmacy, supermarket, baker, butcher, boutique shops AND, of course, Paris is in every direction close at hand. We stayed 2 weeks in December with our two daughters and loved waking up in and coming home to this location. It's a comfortable and charming enough space to be content to "waste" a few of your precious Paris hours just relaxing.

This is the second time we have stayed at "bell5" - 5 rue Jean Du Bellay and all we can say is "Bravo!" My wife is already asking when we can stay here again. The apartment is so well furnished with everything that we could need, the location is wonderful on the Island with our favorite restaurant just 4 door away (Brasserie de l'Isle Saint Louis), and the folks at Paris Address could not of been more attentive - although we didn't need a thing!
Bell 5 - see you next year!

The beautiful apartment at 5 Rue de Jean Bellay is absolutely charming, totally tasteful, and wonderfully comfortable. Its Isle de St. Louis location is in the midst of everything Paris has to offer with two Metro stations just minutes away. The artwork, decor and furnishings have been selected with care. Huge windows open over the charming street where you might watch a mounting police unit clip-clop by or listen to the street musicians from the nearby bridge to Notre Dame. Dine at one of the many nearby charming restaurants or perhaps stay in and cook in the fully outfitted kitchen and sip wine in frint of the antiqye fireplace. Tres magnifique!

This charming apartment has location, convenience, comfort and, well, charm. After exciting but sometimes exhausting days and nights in Paris, it was a treat to return to 5, rue Jean de Bellay. We loved being able, at any hour, to stroll the historic streets of Ile St. Louis, have a nightcap on the Island, and then relax in the comfort of this apartment or watch the romantic street below. This home is spacious by Parisian standards and comfortable by any standards, with everything we needed to rest, restore and luxuriate before another fabulous day in Paris.

Our stay at 5 Rue Jean de Bellay was fantastic. The staff was waiting at the apartment upon our arrival and walked us through the use of the apartment, the various places to shop/stock up in the neighborhood and pointed out the nearby public transit. The apartment is gorgeous yet made us feel as if we were at home. The location on the Isle of St.- Louis is second to none. So glad we made the choice to stay at 5 rue Jean de Bellay and cannot imagine any other way to visit Paris. Highly recommend.

What can I say except thank you for providing such a beautiful apartment in "Bell5" on rue Jean de Bellay, Ile Saint Louis. We stayed for the month of May 2009 and could have easily stayed on forever!. Charming, well equipped & spacious on a delightful island with lovely shops and friendly shopowners who made it feel like a village within Paris. So convenient to all the major attractions. Loved it so much, we're booked for 6 weeks next Oct/Nov.

We recently (August 11 - 19, 2009) stay at 5 rue Jean Bellay and we have to say what a wonderful experience it was! The apartment is in a great location, right on a "main" street of Ill St-Louis, and easy access to the metro stop near Notre Dame.
The apartment exceeded our expectations and we found ourselves lounging in the living room, listening to the local street musicians and enjoying a glass of wine many of the nights we stayed there.
We want to thank the staff for all of their hard work in managing our travels, making sure the apartment was in great repair, and making our stay comfortable. My wife and daughter are already asking when we get to go back . . .
Best,
The McDaniels

I have been going to Paris for 20 years, always stayed in hotels, and always on the Left Bank. On this trip, a friend and I stayed in a hotel for 1 week, and at 5 rue Jean de Bellay for another week--the apartment was complete heaven! As said in another comment, the pictures do not do it justice. It is a really lovely place with authentic French architecture-- floors, fireplace, ironwork, etc. and a street view to the outside that would be the envy of many--all in all, this place has a really great ambiance and "feel" to it. The apartment itself and the beds, are so relaxing, that you do not want to leave the place! It is a real dilemma to go out or stay in--the choice is yours--restaurants, boulangeries, and local grocers are all within 1 minute from your doorstep. This rental is a real find and I would recommend it to anyone looking for the quintessential french living experience, coupled with the luxury and convenience of a full working kitchen, spacious closets, and most importantly, a washing machine and dryer, thus leaving more room in your suitcase to bring home more french finds and souvenirs! Although there were only 2 of us on this trip, I would definitely return with a family of 4 or 5!

The ultimate Paris apartment- wonderful rich architectural detail(spectacular floors, woodburning marble fireplace and glorious French windows)tastefully furnished with fabulous natural light. The spaces were generous and wonderful. The bathrooms and kitchen are fully updated and offer all the modern conveniences-beyond luxurious. But the real delight was the quiet gorgeous location and sleeping with the window open to the sounds of the soulful accordian around the corner on the bridge. For the real Paris lover and Francophile it does not get better than this. This is the gem that you wish for but so rarely find. I hesitate to share my enthusiasm because 9 nights made me long for weeks more in this special abode.

We had a lovely one week stay at BELLE 5 apartment on L'ile St. Louis. We absolutely were thrilled with the apartment accomodations and the location. What a delight to be able to walk out of the apartment and make a left turn and be on the wonderful shopping street to get cheese, baguettes, and the most delicious ice cream in the world. The service was impeccable. Even a simple thing like changing directions on the dishwasher to english was handled immediately. We were also very pleased with travel arrangements to and from the airport. The drivers were very kind and helpful. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

What a perfectly LOVELY apartment in the elegant 4th arr. on Ile St. Louis! It will be difficult to ever return to a hotel after "living" in such a nice neighborhood! Our stay was 8 days and we completely enjoyed the entire experience! We prepared our cheese and wine dinners each night in the very complete kitchen, walked to the bakery every morning for fresh croissants, and with a washer and dryer available, we had clean, fluffly towels every morning!
Loved it!
Thank you!

We just returned from our 8 night stay in the apartment at 5 Rue Jean de Bellay. The apartment was better than we expected. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The location is the best in Paris. We could walk to all the great museums, restaurants and shops. The staff at Paris Address were very helpful. When we first arrived we had difficulty connecting with the internet and when we called the office, a staff member immediately came to our assistance. I highly recommend this agency and look forward to our next visit to Paris. I will not consider using any other agency and will try to stay again in this apartment.
