BEAUMARCH Apartment
We stayed at the Luco apartment in September of 2012 for one week. We absolutely loved our stay! Part of that was due to how well the apartment was kept and part of it was due to getting engaged there!! We had a fantastic time. The location was great, not too far from the Metro, and for the amount of money we paid was a completely comparable and enjoyable experience. We loved staying in the Latin Quarter! It had plenty of nightlife and good restaurants as well as little boutique stores and cafes. Upon arriving, we were able to get a hold of the apartment manager quickly and met him there without a problem. He gave us many helpful tips on what was in our area, the French tipping policy (there is none), and a local restaurant that was decently priced and had great food. He also advised us on French pleasantries and to be aware of pickpockets in high traffic tourist areas. He set up our Wifi for us and gave us the code; however, our only complaint was that the Wifi was very poor. Some days, we had little to no internet access which was unhelpful when trying to use our cell phones and iPad. The neighborhood was active, but not at night. We didn't have much issue with noise at all, the apartment and surrounding tenants were pretty quiet. We also loved the coffee shop down the street for breakfast and ate at the Luxemborg gardens most days; we also loved finishing off the night at the quiet little pub right below us. The only part that was a bit obnoxious was how loud the street cleaning/delivery trucks were in the early morning; however, that was only due to having no air conditioning (which is pretty standard in Paris) and having to open the windows at night. The bedroom and bathroom were decent sized and had plenty enough space for two younger people. We wish that we would have gotten more instruction on how to use the washer/dryer, which was a big selling point for us on getting an apartment vs. a hotel room. However, we had a friend in Paris who translated it for us and being able to wash some of our laundry was a big help. I also wish we would have had a better experience checking out; we weren't contacted in time for when we had to get to the airport and ultimately had to leave the key in the locked room. It turned out ok though. We did our research on ParisAddress before, and overall we happy with our experience with them too. We just get nervous paying large amounts of money internationally without checking everything out first. However, it was a smooth process all around. Overall, we had a great stay at Luco and are recommending it to any of our friends who are looking at staying in a hotel vs. staying at an apartment when they visit Paris!!
